Default My Latest Invention

I needed a way to categorize my information and run basic reports on it. I've been working for the past couple weeks on a program that does that. Basically, it's very easy to create programs in wxpython that handle the specific functions you are interested in. I hope to add the basic functions a person collecting information on snakes might want in this program.

Right now it
Quantitifies all species recorded
Can Compile Lists by Date Ranges
Saved all records in a standard format
Offers the ability to backup data files in a compressed file to an FTP site

It can work with plants also, you just have to put the lists in Genus and Species that you're interested in.

I put links to photos hosted on the Internet, which makes it easy to send the information to the atlas project which requires a voucher photo. If the files are on a hard drive, then you can include the path to the photos on the hard drive.
