We had a chorus of frogs Saturday night, and this one decided to join the party! My youngest daughter screamed and ran for the hills when she saw him and refused to go in that door, I don't know why she's afraid of frogs but she is! He hung around all night.

Oh, I forgot to add, we had a couple of lizards hanging out on the roof of the bay window watching us eat lunch, our friends not too familiar with lizards were a bit wary. Later on they actually watched two lizards in battle, one biting off the head of another. I didn't witness the carnage but they were rapt in the sight of it.

frog

Yikes, linrose! Lunch with entertainment for your guests! Cool! Even though I had plenty of lizards around when I lived in FL, I never saw one bite the head off another! I did see a frog with a lizard hanging out both sides of his mouth!

This is yesterday's shot of the day. There are swamps on both sides of this road but this little guy decided he liked this spot! We drove down the road passing him and I said, "What was that?" We stopped and walked back because it seemed odd a rock would be in the road, but what wouldn't move when we drove so close? This guy wouldn't move! We stood in the road waving down an approaching truck so it wouldn't squish him. They laughed and waited til we convinced the frog to go back to the grasses and water!

Maybe he was sucking up the heat radiating off of the road...

Submerged snags can trip you up real good if the wind was playing upon the waters surface distorting your view of what lies beneath!

Default Mud Turtle

Saw this little girl crossing the road in front of our school bus on a field trip two weekends ago. Very pretty turtle!

Is this turtle wearing a leaf as a hat while sunning?
