Default Woodland Plant

I was going through some photos I took a couple of years ago, and I just can't remember this plant. The photos are dated June, 2008. The quality of the flower photo is not very sharp, but I hope there is enough information here for someone to make an ID.

Looks like one of the Sanicula species (Snakeroot), but I'm unsure about which one:

TAMU Herbarium - Vascular Plant Image Library query results: Sanicula canadensis

I think it is Sanicula canadensis. One of the many plants known as Black Snake Root.

Thank you!

If the distribution maps are up to date, it would most likely be Sanicula marilandica. I will have to get a better look next summer to see if I can be sure about the species.
