Default A little help

Posting a pic of a bug in the appropriate forum, I was asked what kind of flower it was on. I couldn't answer so I thought maybe you all could. These pics were taken in Northbridge, MA in mid-September. Thanks in advance

Hi there, I saw that post too. I'm pretty sure it's a goldenrod, a species of Solidago but I don't know which. We can try to narrow it down, I'll be looking here:

My best guess is Solidago rugosa, it looks very fuzzy to me. I have a few in the yard but they're long gone (and under a bunch of snow.)
