camera2 Before and After Photos?

Although our habitat restorations and landscapes are works in progress, I'd love to see some "before and after" pictures. I've only had land of my own for two years. My pictures are more like "before and during".

Anyone want to share?

So far mine are more like "before and trust-me-there-are-shrubs-out-there." I hope to have something to show for my work this spring, dapjwy. The hedgerow should start to look hedge-like rather than like a line of sticks, for the first time. I will proudly post them in several weeks. Hope to see some of yours, too!

LOL! ...and my sympathies, I can definitely relate---especially in the dead of winter when the few bare root trees and shrubs barely show up. I look forward to seeing whatever you have to share. Spring is coming (slowly but surely).

Since finding the site and starting a blog, I'm much more conscious about taking picture--but I still sometimes start working on something and only remember to take "after" pictures!

Speaking of photos, I only have a couple of days left to upload a great photo of the "red sky in morning" that greeted me on the day that the Blizzard of 2010 began.

Why the time constraint?

Here is a shot of the biggest of my three hazelnut tree seedlings. I think it was a 2 year seedling and now is 4 years old. I'm hoping it will become a more substantial part of the landscape this year and years to come.

Speaking of "sticks" one of my hemlock seedlings got eaten down to this before I got around to protecting them. (The rest are protected now.)

They are not from the same angle or the same season, but here is a "before and after" of my white pine. I had them in a pot for years. They started as seedlings I got on Earth Day years ago. I finally have a place to put it.

They are coming along nicely, dapjwy (and how DO you pronounce that, anyway? ) The time constraint on the red sky photo is because the contest ends on the 10th. Get your photos in now!

Oh, I didn't realize there was a contest. Which thread?

dap ja wa (first A "apple", 2nd A "away", 3rd A "aww") <--is what I normally say the few times I've tried to pronounce it. That is the screen name I had been using years ago when on The Native Plant Forum (GardenWeb), so I decided to continue here in case anyone from there remembered me. However, I've noticed many on here have native plant/habitat-related names, but it would get confusing it I changed mine now, I guess.
