#27 to me looks like a male Carpenter Bee. They hover outside the female's nest to mate with all the newborns that come out and then defend it from other males. They're harmless and you can play tennis with them pretty easy.

As for the killer bees, no not really. Africanized Killer Bees have a slightly smaller rear wing, but you need to collect a sample of 40 or so to get an average and even then the difference is only 1 or 2 mm (metric). By the time you've done this of course chances are you've pissed off the hive enough into swarming anyhow which is a much easier way to judge. The difference is whether 10 bees go after you or 10,000.

We're still throwing ours out from Halloween, and have yet to take down the Christmas Pumpkin. Thanks anyway though.
