pawprint Great Natives Of Midwestern Ecotype

Great Natives of Mid-western Ecotype (GNOME) is an organization focused on the preservation and expansion of native floral and faunal species. It features a monthly newsletter related to relevant environmental issues focused on native plants and animals. There are several other pages incuding my yard plans, planting ideas, plant profiles, and even a name that native monthly quiz. Here is a link to the site.

I've bookmarked you. Very important point you made about how native plants link us to our heritage. Well designed site. I'm looking forward to seeing more landscape designs.

Gnomenative, that is an outstanding website. I especially like the "Planting With a Purpose" section (the bioborders are a personal favorite). It is not enough to suggest alternatives and bemoan the lack of public education; real native solutions for real landscaping and gardening issues are what will help shift public opinion. Excellent work!
