I'm better online or with people I know but I tried to ask. There was no one home to ask. I knocked on the front door and I knocked on a side door. Those baggies were killing me. I wanted to be told what she was doing.

Heyyyy, I've got it! You know how they used to pack boxes with foam peanuts, but now they use baggies filled with air???? That's the tree they grow on!

That is it. This is most assuredly a Ziplock Tree. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your photos with us. I have never seen one before. Would someone please share the scientific name with me. I'd like to look this tree up to learn more about it.

Some people will self pollinate the tree or whatever and then protect the blossom from bees by covering it so they don't cross pollinate it with an undesirable pollen from somewhere else. It's usually a netting tied on to let it breath. Maybe it just collected water in the bags because of the way they had tied them on?

That is an organic technique for protecting fruit from various pests. I find it more labor intensive than I'm willing to try.

Me either. It'survival of the fittest here! Including the smaller stuff.
I don't mulch or cover anything for the Winter once they're established. It's live or die!
I have plenty that do winter over to move into its place should I loose a few.

I want to thank everyone for helping me identify the ziplock tree. I couldn't have done it without y'all. Survival of the fittest by me too havalotta. Instead of calling myself Invasive Acres I should rename this place Sink or Swim.
