I click on unread posts. That way I don't forget any even if I've been gone for a while. Takes me a while to get through em all sometimes.

I do the same thing as Equilibrium. John likes getting updates in his email, but that drives me crazy. If I am coming to WG, I just come. I don't need to see a specific email in my inbox to prompt me to come to the site.

I was at an Audubon meeting last night, did a presentation on Monarchs for a crowd of 37 people. Inviting a few of them to WG as so many of them are so interested in the topics here. Hope we get some new faces from south Jersey!

C. But sometimes I instead hit "Control Panel" and look at my new subscribed threads, esp. if I've been gone for a while & can't go back through all the posts. This way I at least can check on potential responses to my posts.

I do both....I usually start with the control panel and list subscriptions then go into the unread posts...

First I check e-mail updates and then I check unread posts.

I click on Unread Posts under the Welcome Hazelnut sign in the upper right corner.

If I don't find my new posts there, I click on New Posts.

If I still don't find my new posts, I usually read the Unread Posts and then log out and do something else.

I"m going to have to try the "control panel" thing, too...but, I still like the Unread Posts link.
