how do you upload photos?

Me too. I can't spell anymore either. Won the spelling bee in 11th grade though.

will-o-wisp, are you using IE as your browser?

IE still may not have a built in spell check feature as do other browsers such as Opera, Safari, and Firefox. There are a few options for you to consider if you are using IE.

For IE5, 6, & 7-

For IE7-
http://www.ie7pro.com/download.php

Another option to consider would be trying another browser. Firefox is widely recommended-
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Anytime you type using Firefox, misspelled words appear underlined in red automatically. You are also able to train your spell checker to recognize words. This comes in handy when using scientific names.

The availability of built-in browser spell checks as well as free downloadable IE spell check applications seems to have brought the writing of these types of features to a standstill for forum software. There is one spell check feature out there for a lower version of the software powering us however it doesn't look as if it was ever all that stable and it doesn't look as if it is currently being supported.

How to upload photos is discussed here-

Thanks for the information on uploading photos. I sort of figured it out myself. Now I can check the real way to do it!

I like the ability to add multiple photos on one post.
Also like the hawk at the top and the bat photo on the home page. I just found the home page though, I always started at the forum section and just happened to click home page.

Until recently, the home page was invisible. The Christmas bat was added yesterday. How do you like the weather module on the home page?

We started with the cardinal perched on the logo, currently we have the falcon, and we'd like to experiment perching the owl from our forum home/index page photo on the logo.

Did any of the suggested IE spell checks work for you?

Fearless Weeder, I saw the cardinal first and the change to falcon, I found the ability to change the logo visually interesting. That's a keeper for sure.
The Home page looks very good. The weather feature is a nice addition.

The reason I didn't have spell check in the begininng was because I used the link in my mail program (no spell check there) to log on. When I logged on through Firefox I had spell check. Thanks.

You're doing great.

What would be really cool if there was a ID forum for pictures of native NA plants. Pictures not only show the flowers, but the leaves, seeds and seedheads, too. Maybe even seedlings.

Prairiefreak, great idea worthy of more than a general forum. This type of a database would be a very useful tool. An ID area, such as what you have suggested, may very well be doable however don't know if we have the funds or the manpower to begin such a project. Could this be revisited a few months from now after the graphics and artwork is up and after the majority of the set up woes are behind them?
