There is a temporary plug in photo for aquatic animals. We're looking for aquatic animals native to North American waters for use as a anchor photo.

September 2009 Photo of the month thread - post contest images here

There's a sea urchin skeleton picture on that link. I might have some others, I'll look around. I never could get a decent picture of the otters I used to see.

Someone asked for jellyfish and I took gobs today at the Tennessee Aquarium. I'll post either tonight or as soon as possible. I'm in a motel and just got the laptop open. I'll post - you decide if they're native or what's wanted.

I'm out on the jellyfish and seahorse photos I took. I can't find them. I did find the craft project photos I took... now I can't find the thread they go in. Sage> The TN aquarium... I wish. I love aquariums.

The internet connection was awful at last night's motel! Now we're in Gatlinburg and drove through the Smoky Mountains today after we found a motel. Fantastic area! Needing a motel that takes cats limits our choices!

I'll try to put a jelly up now -

Photos of aquatic animals-p1050560.jpg this is my favorite

Photos of aquatic animals-p1050581.jpg one worked so here's two!

I LOVE that first one Sage!
I'm at a hotel at the moment so can't enter any but I'm wondering if they are looking for freshwater creatures as well or just the salt water aquatics?

Thanks, havalotta! Where are you? We're now somewhere in W.VA. Tomorrow, heading for the BIG Pittsburgh Trader Joe's, and then should make it home by Sunday night. Everything at home is unplugged; power is off; heat is off; cupboards are empty. The SUV is full of laundry to do. Cookiecat has been a great traveler, much to our relief.

Maggy, your turtle is adorable!
