Default WG Native Plants database

We have purchased software to be able to move forward with this. Who would be interested in helping with the design?

Bottom up design of a database we'd like to create. May prove to be labor intensive in initial phase. Would require teamwork.

I would love to help, but I'm on dial-up which pretty much excludes 'working together' at the same time. If you think of something I can do, please let me know. I enjoy writing, editing, research (again it's slow) almost as much as gardening. Remember. . . retired educator!

Wildlife Gardeners was designed with dial up users in mind. Everything from automatic thumbnails to personal profiles allowing the member to chose whether they want to view avatars or not has been incorporated into the site as well as many behind the scene settings and applications reducing page load times. We wish we could have added even more dial up user friendly functionality. Reality is WG Staff wasn't finding other applications catering to dial up users capable of being integrated into the software powering this site that would not have compromised the existing features.

Yes Smart Red, lack of high speed would prove extremely frustrating for this project.

That was caught last week. They've got their eye on you, and two other members, for another project following launch of the WG native plants database where dial up won't pose nearly as great of a stumbling block.

Let me know how I can help. My database knowledge is limited to Microsoft Access but I am a quick learner.

I'll contribute photos once it's completed.

I'd be glad to help. I'm good at research and finding people to talk to. As far as the computer end, the only help I could offer is data entering, and I get really bored with that after an hour. trout lily
