I can't save the pdf files to my desk top etc....I have Adobe Reader, but it tells me a I need the Standard or Professional package and that's beyond my budget right now. Is there someway I can get this to work so I can use the pdf files in e-mail?
Thanks |

What kind of Adobe Reader do you have. I'm not all that great with this kind of thing but I think the read only version of Adobe allows you to save a .pdf it just doesn't allow you to save any changes you may have made to it. Something isn't right. Maybe somebody else knows of a program that saves pdf's so that you can save the ones that were added for us and attach them to e-mails to your friends.

If you have the current version of Adobe Reader (8.1.3) you can save a copy of the pdf file by clicking on "File" and then clicking on "Save a Copy" in the dropdown menu. The message that you get only talks about trying to save any changes. It will only save the original document, which is just what you want. Even earlier versions of AR should be able to save a copy for you. Once you save it, all you have to do is attach it to any email you like.

Here is the download link for the Adobe Reader 9.
Anyone can save and view PDF's. You may need to open and then do a File -> Save As to your desktop. The only time you need to buy something for PDF's is if you want to create them. Maybe there is alternate free something for that, I'm not sure. -Raymond |

There are several free PDF makers out there, but I only know them by reputation, not practice. I have to have Acrobat Pro in my editing business, so I use that. Here's one I've heard of before:
