Just FYI for teachers and homeschoolers-- this curriculum was recommended on one of my education lists:

Project WILD

"Project WILD is one of the most widely-used conservation and environmental education programs among educators of students in kindergarten through high school. It is based on the premise that young people and educators have a vital interest in learning about our natural world. A national network of that Project WILD is available nationwide --training educators in the many facets of the program. Emphasizing wildlife because of its intrinsic value, Project WILD addresses the need for human beings to develop as responsible citizens of our planet.oject WILD is one of the most widely-used conservation and environmental education programs among educators of students in kindergarten through high school. that Project WILD is available nationwide --training educators in the many facets of the program. And kids love field trips. A reason to get out and look at something wild.

Yes!

I have to admit that I haven't had much luck with curriculum guides, although Projectwild sounds like a good one. The advantage of having only two learners instead of a group of 25 is that we are able to follow our interests and explore topics independently. We love field trips and nature walks.

Under their curriculum resources they have a "How to Think, Not What to Think" area containing fully accessible projects complete with activity guides. This is a very good resource. The quality is high.
