Default Some colourful fungi.

There are a few fungi that stand out a little and are easily photographed.

Hi Kildale,

Some cool mushrooms there, nice photos too! I particularly like purple and blue mushrooms, so the first one is my favorite of the bunch, looks like a very dark violet Cortinarius of some kind. The second one, Hericium coralloides, is a really cool one too. The last one kind of looks like a Lobster mushroom, not sure what the orange ones in the third photo are.

When you click on the mage for the larger image, you will see the name of them, hopefully.

You can see their names while hovering over the photos with the mouse arrow before they are enlarged too.

The white fungus looks like ocean coral. It is almost elegant. The orange spring arrival looks like wet cheese curls.

Tks for the pics.

I can't be sure, but I think the "wet cheese curls" are probably a wood decomposing species called Dacryopinax spathularia, don't know of a common name for it.

The lumpy black one is probably Exidia glandulosa, Black Witch's Butter.
