Not flying! Driving! Bflo > Caskills Mtns > Ithaca/Cornell/Sapsucker Woods > Finger Lakes > Letchworth. Oh, I'm tired already!

It's in the line of duty...have to check it out and bring back reports before the final voting for the 2011 WG Meet-up!

Well, once you've been there you'll have to boot them off your possible go toos...
I'd like to hear about your outings.. I haven't voted yet... I already know where I'd like to go but maybe I can still be persuaded.

Earlier in the year the monarchs were few and far between around here...
but the last few weeks have made up for it...
there have been good quantities in my garden at any given time...

Ithaca, Sapsucker Woods, Letchworth - my old stomping grounds! I'd love to go back and visit sometime, especially in the fall. Oh, Happy Autumnal Equinox/Harvest Moon everyone! You can read by the moonlight, and you can see Jupiter near the moon too, it's in opposition.

Anyway, I grew up in Rochester and attended Cornell so those names really bring me back home. Be sure to eat some Concord grapes for me and have a great time Sage!

Actually, Seeing these places once just assures the "have to go back" feeling! I've already been to all these places. It's especially beautiful at this time of year in NYS. If a meet-up is in one location, those who have time can continue on to the other sites!

In my web albums, look at Chimney Bluffs!

Boy you're doing a great job root, root, rooting for the home team...
I feel the same way about the Porcupine mountains... Just never enough time to see it all, is there.

This is the Two-tailed Tiger Swallowtail that emerged from its chrysallis today. And didn't mind posing for me...for which I'm grateful! These kind aren't always easy to get to pose!
