Thanks guys! I love affirmation, LOL! Does anyone remember Al Franken (that's Senator Al Franken now) on SNL doing Stuart Smalley's Daily Affirmation? - you know "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me!" schtick. Too funny. If you don't, you must be a lot younger than me!

I lost out to Sage's awsome frog photo last month (I'm not bitter or anything, hmmphh) and my camera is an old clunker that works only sometimes so I'm shy to enter the photo contests. I AM getting a pretty good collection of butterfly pics for my diversity files though! Sure wish I could get a good hummingbird photo, that's next on my list.

I keep thinking about doing a Dragon/Damselfly contest! Because I have the perfect real leaded glass dragonfly for a prize. Picked it up at the estate sale of a stained glass artist!

However I'm going to the Niagara Falls Butterfly Conservatory and the NF Bird Kingdom in the next week, so maybe someone else should run it so I can contribute and WIN! Or maybe I can find an appropriate gift there for a prize...hmmmm

Beauty is right! Way to go, linrose. Beautiful. You should enter the first one in the photo contest. I love how the wings nearly glow from the sunlight.

You guys may just shame me into it, which shall it be, the first or the second? Maybe I'll go out tomorrow and try to top them both!

Both are good, but the first one is special. I like the composition, the angle of the butterfly, and the lighting.

Now that's the attitude...smile go for it---but still enter #1!
