Default Spring Azure Butterfly

The spring azure butterfly is the first one of the season to emerge from a chrysalis in my area. They're very early this year because of an unusually warm spring. The adult form usually only lasts for a week or two.

They're often cited as rarely nectaring, but I've seen a lot of activity of flowers this spring.

Thank you.

They don't usually sit long for photos, but these were really focused on their feeding. The camera was only about 3 inches away for one of those shots.

Morpho Butterfly 2 great shots

We saw a couple of these tiny winged jewels as we worked in my school garden today. Great photos--thanks for sharing!
