Default Aster and the Monarch

Took some pictures of a Monarch on our Aster novae-angliae. This is easily becoming my favorite fall flowering perennial. The pollinators the flowers attract, the color of the flowers, and how great that color goes with that of Monarch wings is spectacular. I hope this plant spreads around the yard.

(There are more pics on my blog post today, but these were the best of the bunch.)

Oh my. Delightful. The contrast of the orange on the purple is eye candy. Very nice photos MrILoveTheAnts
