Default Monarchs Checking out my Seedlings

This is the first year that I have noticed monarchs in our yard daily...for a week or two.

I am loving it.

Here she is checking out my milkweed seedlings that still need planted. ...and, laying eggs.

I've been swamped with them again this year. Every time I go out to get food for my milkweed tigers, I come back in with leaves that either have monarch eggs or monarch caterpillars. Had at least one female hanging around all afternoon yesterday providing me with more eggs.

My second-year milkweeds are getting decimated by the cat hordes, but I can't say I mind too much!

Nice to hear that it is not just me!

I am so happy to see all of you (from different parts of the country) having similar experiences!
