Default Butterfly ID????

Shot these pics in S. Korea in the Spring of 2013. Not sure what kind of butterfly it is.

Armalachier told me that those might be a 'swallowtail'. But I'm not positive. I have seen quite a few this year fly by my house, but I didn't have the nice flowers like you have to get them to slow down a bit.

Those were flowers just outside my barracks next to an abandoned building with a canopy...good place to burn down a cigar on a day off. It was once a tiny PX and the ladies that worked there planted flowers and blooming hedges. Even the tattered rose bushes still bloomed.

It is a species of swallowtail but I don't know that someone from South Korea could give you a positive ID unless there is only one species that looks something like that.

Yes..it helped. I'm quite certain that I was the only infantryman that noticed the abandoned flora.
