I got three wrong on the *easy* quiz--one of them I should've known better but over thought it.

Quote:
Number Correct: 12
Number Incorrect: 3
I'm almost scared to see how I do on the medium one.

Number Incorrect: 0
Now I'm gonna go into the hosted quiz feeling overconfident!

Thanks for the fun little challenge, Cirsium. I'm sure at least some of the knowledge I acquired about monarchs through the years came from the members on this site. Now I learned more based on the ones I got wrong.

At least you were interested enough to take it.

I bet you learned a thing or two, as did I.

Well worth taking: Everyone I missed some knowledge was gathered...Who knew Monarchs have 6 eyes.

Now I'd like to know about other species

Swallowtails? Sphinx Moths?

Monarch larvae have 12 eyes, six on each side. They are tiny, pin-hole eyes that are pretty much light detectors. Monarch adults have 2 compound eyes and can see very well.

Loved these quizzes and am going to share with my students. Thanks, Cirsium!
