Default A great place for bug ID's

If anything here stumps someone, I highly recommend Bugguide.net.

Welcome to BugGuide.Net! - BugGuide.Net

After a simple registration you can post a pic in the ID section and the many bug geeks, er excuse me, aficionados will quickly let you know what you have. They're very helpful and pleasant. It's a similar place to this although the design is vastly different. I have used them several times and haven't stumped them yet. Often, when I've been doing multiple submissions, I have an answer on the first one before the second one is complete. They know their bugs and are happy to help.

Thanks for the link. When the weather becomes warmer, this forum will see considerable activity, if last year's IDs were any indication.

I actually ID ants at BugGuide. Most stump me though but I'm usually able to get it to Genus level.

Staff told me that several of you used the site when I asked if it was cool to post a link. Being new I want to tread carefully. I should have figured there'd be crossover considering the wide scope of this site and the quality of that one. I thought it might be a good idea to post a specific reference for some who may not know about it.
