I've got so much practice dehydrating under my belt I could probably write a "how to" book myself right about now. Not that anyone would buy it but.... I could write it.

We're hooked on the dehydrated fruits. As fast as I put out a jar.... it disappears. Next summer when all the fresh fruit starts hitting the stands, I'm gonna double the amount of fruit I'm dehydrating. I can't believe it's been such a hit over here. I'm totally happy it is... I'm just surprised.

Those peaches were from my trees. Those were 'Reliant' I think. Your husband sucked down the dried tomatoes faster. The dried tomatoes go the fastest around here.... they "evaporate" into thin air. Same deal with the dried plums. I'll have to get you some dried plums to try. I bought a boatload at Angelli's on the way home in July since I can't grow plums here. I dried up about 50 lbs over the course of a few days. I think we've got maybe 2 qt jars left of plums.

I bought a used dehydrator. Snapped it up when I saw it had temp controls on it. Have used it for jerky, but not so much for veggies yet.

I dipped zuchinni slices in a tomato dip - italian style stewed tomatoes with a dash of hot sauce, blended I believe. They were good.

Another fine way of using up that good ole Zucchini!
Dipping it in a spicy tomato base before dehydrating it sounds real tasty.
