What massive cliffs! What makes them so hard they don't erode in a hill like fashion?

Actually, they are quite soft (mostly chalk), and are actively eroding, but in a block-like fashion - see Natural Britain, Old Harry Rocks, Dorset for more detailed information on this area.

Default Trip to the reserve.

I had all my garden chores done early yesterday, so I took a trip to a local Boat ramp looking for some bird shots today. It was freezing. 60 degrees so most of these are taken from the truck. I know I know what a P^@%Y right? Well call me a pansy then. Anyway here are a few shots from today.
