YES! I did.
I took the grandson along. We didn't see any herons but he sure had fun catching crabs and swimming while I fished.....I set hook into three small mouth bass. Nothing worthy of keeping but I sure LOVE the play they bring.
Nice fish capture Maggie and good to see you posting again....Life gets so busy at times doesn't it!

Went fishing with my sister and saw.....An eagle sitting nearby in a tree, a heron fishing along the shore, a kingfisher flying across the river, and a few non bird events....

A walleye that must have swam so hard it ended up landing upon the riverbank flip flop flip flopping its way around until it found its way back to the river.... (So comical) A sturgeon that jumped almost right into the BOAT! AND Two deer that swam across the river upstream from where we were hauling the boat out. What a GREAT day!!!!!!!!!!!

A few shots (all raw) from our mini-vacation on the Eastern Shore earlier this month - I had failed to reset the calendar settings on the camera after inserting a new battery, so the images all are labeled January 2006!

I like the photo you took of the gull. It's like he's raising his bloomers to go in for a wade.

I LOVE Kingfishers!! And they're quick little guys too! We have a flock of geese that fly in every day...they take over our backyards and we actually had a nesting pair out back this year...hatched two chicks.
