But if the power is out (and your battery is dead), I can still light a candle and read a book.

My iPad power outlasts any candle and I can shop for a book from home and download it in seconds! I have many books on my iPad and they can go anywhere with me!

This will outlast any candle and an iPad thingie, SolaDyne 12 LED Camp Lantern with Solar Charger and Hand Crank. We use em for camping along with crank flashlights. We've had ours for about 3 years now. We use it every time the power goes out!!!

All joking aside.... our power goes out a lot so we probably need to buy another 1 of those Soladynes. We have a new 1 that we keep out in the chicken coop since there's no electricity out there but that 1st 1 we bought has been old faithful. I was outside stringing fishing line yesterday and came in to no power.... again. I have no clue how long our power was out yesterday. It went back on about a half hour after I walked in but... the more people moving into this area... the more power outages we seem to be having and.... the more we seem to be using crank flashlights and that soladyne. It might be a good idea to buy 1... just in case.

Eq, I have one of those!

Dap, iPad has ten hours I think. It's never died on me. If it did, I'd use Rogers. . iPad and iPhone charger plugs r on my nightstand and they are plugged in every night. And, they can be used as flashlights!

I can tell how much you love yours!

Jeff wants one...eventually (well, he wants it now, but he is willing to wait ). His Droid is a pretty powerful flashlight though--it *is* a tricorder!--but his battery doesn't seem to last that long.
