Robins are nice but this is how I know that spring is here.
![]() Haven't had much time to post but you've been in my thoughts as the world awakens. May you all enjoy the rebirth! Dan

Happy spring!
Welcome back, Bulu! Last weekend I was working in the yard all day enjoying the warmth...this weekend I've been out a little in the cold--mostly pulling out more Japanese honeysuckle, but I also planted a tree or two. At least the ground is still thawed...although, it was 15 degrees over night. ...anyway, happy spring! ![]()

Niiiice nest...
I'm just heading out the door myself to go check out a nest I just noticed across the bay IF I can get close enough, it being on someone elses property. I'd say it is large enough to be either an owls or eagles nest. I'd swing more towards it being an owls though as it is in a deciduous tree.

Nice photo! We don't get much spring here - it goes straight to brutal summer pretty quickly, but I'm enjoying the few days of spring we're having now. Happy spring!

Yes, Sage, that is a great Blue Heron. I saw my first one of the season a few weeks ago, but this is the first one on I've seen nest. I've been by this stretch of road several times over the past few weeks and I've been waiting to see this view. It's a benchmark when I do.
I feel for you BBBBecky, I really do. We had some serious mountains of snow up here but a spell of rain and warm temps sent most of it away. On the other hand, it's been in the mid thirties for the past week and a half with wind strong and steady enough to make driving a van an adventure (trust me).

Happy Spring back to you from the U.P.!
![]() From my bay window, I noticed a new nest had been built! I took a drive and found it to be located directly behind a factory. I parked the car in a lot just south of it but couldn't quite get as close as I wanted. ![]() Soooo Having taken notice they had forgotten to close the gate on the northern side of the factory I took a chance and drove the car right into the property (Sassy me) for a different view. ![]() I parked the car behind a big semi and took a hike through the snowbanks for a better shot. ![]() A HA! There she is.....It IS an eagles nest! I knew it had to be something quite large to have built a nest of THAT caliber. ![]() After a while she flew off, gave me a salute and started to circle.....I snuck back through the brush not to disturb her any further. BEAUTIFUL bird!
