I just saw this. The last storm we were supposed to get, the one that hit NYC, missed us! I'm not even sure if we got a dusting from it, but friends about half an hour-40 minutes away got a few inches.

Remember: snow is pretty.

snow

Snow is pretty, if you don't have to shovel it or drive in it. We only got a dusting, too. Actually, snow blankets plants and protects them.

Oh, believe me I know! The older I get the less I like it. I'm often the first to complain about winter or snow...but I do try to remember to enjoy the beauty of it--much easier to do when you are safe at home and know that those you love are too.

I was kinda just ribbing bridget a little.

Yes, it does. I remember learning that from my father when I was young.

Strange the lyrics to a song come to mind: Honey (a song I got to know from the radio station my father used to listen to) ...a line from it bothers me because of that: "See the tree how big it's grown...when she planted it it was just a twig...she brushed the snow away so it wouldn't die." I still like the song and tear up if I ever hear it.

...btw, I'm kind of infamous for getting of topic.

Me, too.

Let's see we went from listening to bird songs to help the blues to dealing with snow.
