I saw a beautiful tom turkey strutting across a middle school parking lot during the day. He was more beautiful than a peacock. His feathers radiated in the sunlight.

I didn't get any good pics as they were in somebody's yard (and carport) and I didn't feel that it would be proper for me to be taking pictures of a stranger's home, even if their lawn ornaments were so beautiful. The first pic gives an idea of the neighborhood and the second an idea of the crowd. This happened about two days ago. I do love turkeys. I can fully appreciate why Ben Franklin lobbied for them as our national bird.
