Many raptors get killed on those old power poles that have live wires. I'm not sure anyone is aware of this. This was a 10 week class I took through the USDA Graduate School/Audubon Naturalist Society--great classes. If you are in the DC area, check them out.

Nice course offerings. I spotted a few that caught my eye.... wish I lived closer to DC.
