ROBERT CAMPBELL, Weymouth: Story incorrectly lumps crow in with region’s invasive species - Quincy, MA - The Patriot Ledger
excerpts from above:
Quote:
At what point do we take sides between one native species and another?
Should we kill falcons to protect songbirds?
Of course not.
Quote:
To try to preserve all species existing on earth, exactly as they are now, is neither possible or wise.

I see nothing wrong with extirpating invasive species, whether or not they were introduced by humans, if they pose a threat to native wildlife; but I would leave our indigenous species alone to adjust their respective populations through natural means.
