showing off a few bird pictures
today we were blessed by a beautiful day where me , my wife and my son went for a walk in a local green space. I thought i would share a picture of a red winded black bird which we see fairly often around here... I thought the picture turned out so well its worth sharing....
to bad all of the hawks were way to far up to get a picture , or a good one with my camera. there were dozens of them about, and the hawks of my area have been some what a sentimental part of my family , and its history. but here we go http://www.wildlifegardeners.org/for...1&d=1270259345 |

 Trying to capture the color in them is a bit tricky. The yellows seem to fade.....  Anyone have a photo of the female?

Thank you... Yours are very nice as well.
 I've got the other bookend to the one you posted...   I looked up what the female Redwing looks like and I believe this to be one.  I had thought the one in the lower right of this photo was the female. Any Idea what kind of bird this one is?
