Default Ruffed Grouse (Bonasa umbellus)

I was fishing at Wachusett Reservoir today. As I started to leave, this Grouse popped out of the nearby woods. Of course I dropped my fishing gear and grabbed my camera. As I took pictures of her she moved closer and closer to me. When I squatted down to get a better angle, she came close enough to me that she actually pecked my hand! I assume she had a nest nearby. As I stood up and backed off, she followed me for quite a ways until, I suppose, she figured she had me cowed. I have videos of her following boldly after me posted on my Flickr account. Could I link to them here or should these pics also be posted in the Avian Photography thread with a link? Or should I embed them? They're 59 and 47 seconds long. The only reason I'd like to post them is to show just how bold she was. In any case, I hope you all enjoy the pics. I'm sure they won't be the last I post in this thread!

Default Here goes nothing

I hope this works. If it doesn't, this is the link to my Flickr page.

There is another vid there with her voice very clear. If this works I'll embed that as well. I will post in Avian Photography thread later.

Edited out the unsuccessful HTML. Will work on it tonight after I get home from work. In the meantime, use the link and feel free to explore while you're there.
