It's fun watching the nuthatches hide seeds under the bark of trees for later use...

The nuthatch is one of my favorite birds!!! The ones that I have here come to the feeder at about the same time every day, just when I get home from work. No matter how bad my day was, it makes me feel better when I see them! Great pictures Havalotta

I can't believe the variety of bird photos I've taken within a years time.
As I'm sorting them into folders I'm adding the word done to avoid repeats....
Looking them up and attaching their scientific names is sometimes a bit difficult but as I'm learning I'm passing it on to you, one by one....

Bundles of white fluff.... just like baby turkey vultures. Loooooooove your photos!!! Here's a turkey I found walking down the side of the road a couple miles from my house. I rarely see turkeys this close to my house so I was really excited.

Raptors are more beautiful IMO. I'd kill to have peregrines anywhere near me.

Soooo they tell the sex by their legs? That's weird. I thought they did the squeezy thing on them like chickens or run up a probe. She sure is watching intently....

Equills turkey is keeping an eye on her too.
