This is the bird feeder that was in our yard when we moved into this condo. There is also a nyjer seed feeder. A neighbor put them in but we fill them with high-quality (expensive!) seed.

Notice the town-mandated tray underneath to catch seed so it won't hit the ground and attract rats!

The deer lick it clean whenever they come through and otherwise it serves as a good platform for turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, etc., to stand on and use as their dining table

Oh, and not to worry, Roger filled the feeder again and we had tons of birds there today - cardinals, chickadees, house finches, sparrows, juncos, blue jays and a male downy on my window sill tormenting my cat! That's the downy on the other side of the window from Cookiecat.

We have suction cup bird feeders for our cats... and for us too.

I'd love to do that but if someone saw it we'd get reported to the condo board.

On the bright side though, I can look at all that snow out there and know I don't have to shovel it.

On the plus side you won't have cat spit all over your windows from where they plaster themselves and make that cat sound where their mouths quiver and their whole bodies twitch. Sometimes mine hunker down to the ground and get real still and then their back legs start moving as if they're going to get them through the glass. Good clean family fun. Watch your cats stalk birds behind glass.
