Took a walk at the Little Red School House. There were treats for the birds in and under the tree.
See the little chickadees? |

bigblueyes, there were treats for the birds hanging all through the tree as well as under. When we walked up many birds took off from the area. The surrounding trees were full of noisy many kinds of birds but I only caught the chickadees and a cardinal.

I think I might know where they got the idea. Night Tree by Eve Bunting, Amazon.com: Night Tree (9780152574253): Eve Bunting, Ted Rand: Books That's a beautiful little tree they set up for the animals. What a fantastic way to "decorate" don't you think!!! And children's groups could contribute strings of popcorn and cranberries and... the possibilities are endless.

I see the little chickadees at the base of the living bird feeder.
