Oh my goodness. How can a site like Wildlife Gardeners go without lists of rehabbers.

This is a wonderful idea.

How helpful it will be to one day have a resource tool at our finger tips.

For the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maryland, and southern Delaware:

Shore Wildlife Rehab
Kathy Cummings, Keller, VA
Wildlife Rehab Permit Number 028007
Eastern Shore Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, shore wildlife mammal rehab
757-442-7665
757-709-1840

Her website says that she is only licensed for animals but she has since been licensed for birds as well (the person who does her website does it for free but doesn't always have time to update it). Kathy does not have email.

I think they accept all native birds. I know we brought a robin fledging whose parents hadn't shown up for a couple of days, and an injured catbird youngster.

I'm not sure how we can best benefit from it, but members of the GardenWeb Bird Watching Forum put together information on emergency care for birds including a rehabber link. I'm posting both the GardenWeb page, and the rehababber link they include.

Would you be in a position to contact the authors of the 'EMERGENCY CARE FOR BIRDS and FAQs' to ask permission to post their document at Wildlife Gardeners?
