Default ~Peregrine Falcons in Buffalo~

So exciting! Because we are avid DEC Peregrine volunteers, we were included in the small group to band the three week old Peregrines in the Statler nestbox. Two males, one female. Below is one of the kids still in the bucket and me holding one of the boys.

If you look at the left foreground of image 3, there is another baby in a bucket!

Oh Sage. Absolutely adorable little snow balls. I love the picture of you getting a close look at the baby you're banding.

Oh, I wasn't doing the banding! :eek: Here are the DEC people doing that, and another baby. In a few weeks, they will be three times this size and out there learning to fly and hunt!

The babies are all very healthy and free of lice, indicating their parents are not feeding them pigeons, but flying to park areas to get nice clean birds!

Another snow ball. That one doesn't look too happy. He looks like he wants his momma. Cuter than the dickens for sure.
