I think I took that at Glacier National Park. What do the lyrics mean? I was never into Zappa.

Frank Zappa, IMHO, was a musical genius who stretched the envelope, so to speak, in every conceivable direction. As such, it is difficult to say exactly what he had in mind (other than satire) with many of his lyrics. For more, see Montana Lyrics by Frank Zappa and Montana (Frank Zappa song) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A female Downy visited the suet cake today! The suet is hung directly from the large S-hook, cuz a squirrel broke the chain! Sunflowers also attached.
Again, shot from inside the condo. ![]() ![]() |

However, back on topic, great bird photos! Since I have been spending much of my time in an office lately, I am enjoying them. They are like postcards from the real world. |

Your photos remind me I've got to get my suet up. I've got the safflower and black oil sunflower seed out but I keep forgetting to put out the suet. I should clean my kitchen window and try to take some photos out it.

I also got a different kind from Wild Birds Unlimited. The suet cakes are cylindrical with a hole in the middle, made to fit some kind of thing they also sell. They seemed the perfect size to set in small terra cotta pot trays so I got a few. It soon disappeared from the balcony and we knew the birdies couldn't have carried it away, no, no. A squirrel must have carted it off to the woods! I would have loved to have seen that! Remember, we're on the second floor!

I know exactly the cylinders you're talking about Sage. I buy them from WBU too. I also bought one of the feeders that they go on. I'm sorry to hear yours wandered off. The birds here seem to love the cranberry one.
