It's that mylar I wanted to know about. That's cool. It looks like fancy foil giftwrap. I already use duct tape for almost everything.

My flycatcher exercises daily on both the widows and wood stove chimney. Here he is fighting his nemesis, once again. He never wins, but he fights that reflection every day.

My cousin had a cardinal attacking the rear view mirrors on their car. They had to wrap burlap around the mirrors when they parked. They thought he was going to knock himself out. We had a woodpecker going at our chimney cap for a whole season. Sounded like a machine gun when the sound shot out the fireplace. I'm wondering now if both birds weren't going after themselves seeing the photo of your flycatcher. Our copper chimney cap has dulled to a dark green. It was shiny the year that happened. Brilliant photo.

I agree. Wouldn't have made the connection that was what was going on unless he posted his photo. That woodpecker totally went berserk up there banging away on our brand new chimney cap almost right after it was installed. It was very shiny.

What is that strange bump on their beak?
I never noticed that before on them!
