Yup, this is why things like butterfly bush (just one example) are a problem. Butterfly bush (Buddleia) does attract butterflies as pollinators, but it offers nothing in the way of food for caterpillars. If we want to continue to have butterflies, we have to plant FOOD plants for caterpillars.
