No great photos, today because it has been raining but we are at Little St Simons Island and saw tricolor herons, reddish herons, little blue herons, great blue herons, great egrets, snowy egrets, cattle egrets, roseate turnbills, wood storks, and ibis. Definitely the place for birds who like marshes. We had green heron in California, but I haven't seen any here.

The Golden Isles of Georgia are definitely a great place to come birding, if you ever get the chance. Only unfortunate thing is that we may need blood transfusions after all of the mosquitos - they are really bad this year!
There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, this is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar. - Lord Byron

Cool! I remember the first time I saw one, I was surprised how small they are.
