Three clutches--how awesome. I was hoping for a third clutch--I made sure that I cleaned the nest box out immediately after there second brood left. Looking back, I'm not sure if they ever had more than two. I've got to keep better track of things.

I hope they succeed...we have cooler temps too, but being farther south, I'm thinking (and hoping) that they will have plenty of time to raise them.

Then, again, I can't imagine being a juvenile bird going straight into winter.

I was just thinking of running out to check my nest box (their favorite one)...then it occurred to me that I just took a picture the other day of a spider web in the entrance hole. I remember thinking "closed for the season".
