Two fox trotted past yesterday morning. WAY out on the ice in the bay. One about 5 minutes ahead of the other.
I'm assuming the second to be a male in hot pursuit. It's getting to be about that time of the year!

How cool! I'd love to see a fox or two here--or did I already mention that (several times)?

I enjoyed the moment instead of running for the camera. One must take the time to truly enjoy such short clips.

Flocks of sparrows in the field eating grass seeds. It's a cold wintry day here.

Whoops...Sorry
I didn't catch that THIS Today I saw..... was under the Birds Including Raptors & Hummers
I see the NEW threads now include either Critters OR Birds in their titles...That will definitely help finding the proper one for entry.

You will NEVER guess what I saw this morning out back.
Would anyone care to guess before I squeal?

Today I saw . . . a goldfinch inside the house.

I left the door open to try to get the cat outside after three days in the house and surgery on her ear. I opened it and left it open for awhile to make her curious without being suspicious of me trying to shoo her out. When I went back to shut the door (my cat sleeping on an armchair, not the least bit interested in the outdoors) I saw the goldfinch at the window trying to get back out. Luckily as soon as I opened the door up again she flew out right away. I was glad I didn't have to catch her to get her back out again.

A boar?

(.....I thought that the "squeal" comment was a clue.)

That's odd, your cat didn't take notice of the bird flying around.
Yesterday, I saw 3 ROBINS!
Today I Saw (Birds Including Raptors & Hummers) ~ 2014-p1110531.jpg
TODAY there were 19!!! I counted them as they flew away from my locust tree.
I suspect they were-are hanging out there because there's open water running into the bay from the street.
I'm going to see if I can talk one of the the grocery stores into giving me their expired baskets of berries or they'll die. Wish me luck....
