My grandmothers family (on my Mothers side) came from Quebec.

No but I had wanted to go but from what I've about in the news lately, I don't want to go. My next door neighbor and her DH are from Quebec. It's actually quite a distance from here.

After the Peregrine nest site checks yesterday, we drove along the river, trying to take advantage of every minute before the forecasted snow and wind arrived. Whoops! It's here!

Swimming.
I was just arising when I had noticed them out back. No camera or binocs in bed alongside me to zoom in and take a more close look.

I love grebes!
The last photo looks like a dark hen mallard maybe a hen black duck can't tell without seeing the speculum.
