Audubon has a donor to match donations through 12/31. (I must admit I'm not donating now but I was tempted to). This is from an email I received from Audubon:
"The response to Audubon’s “10 under 10,000” campaign has been remarkable. I am delighted to announce that a generous donor, inspired by the campaign, has offered to match an additional $50,000 in donations. That gives you 50,000 more chances to double down on your gift for birds." The "10 under 10,000" as you might guess with particularly low numbers. If you go to their home page in the next few days you'll see a link to click. Lori |

I've generally thought my donations went to good causes even though I'm not that active in their activities.
Just getting on the mailing list makes you feel like you belong with local bird sightings and encounters. Even if you can't make the spring/fall migrations when the members are gathered you'll find the parks and preserves they go to have bird activity weeks before and after peak times. The Audubon magazine is loaded with great writing and photography and comes with joining.
