Bird Porn - Wildlife Gardeners

Well, after mentioning it in another thread, I guess I should create it (although some might find it "slightly disturbing"

), here goes:

The WG's first (that I know of) ~~~Bird Porn~~~ thread.

The other day, with camera in hand, I spotted the tree swallow pair that had recently built a nest in one of my nest boxes, up on the powerlines. As I was zooming in, it became clear to me just what they were doing..."it".

My timing couldn't have been more perfect. I snapped a few shots...and now, the slightly disturbing part, then I switched over to video mode. Of course, especially with the ~~~Bug Porn~~~ thread out there, I thought, "Who better to share it with than the members of Wildlife Gardeners."

If anyone else out there has pictures of the procreative acts of birds...and cares to share them, we now have a thread for just that.

On a side note, there seems to be a "Birds other than Hummers" forum...but no "Birds" forum...and why must we exclude hummingbirds? If anyone is lucky enough to come across and photograph hummingbirds "in the act", by all means, post them here!

Great picture! Do you have a zoom on your camera? (Just curious...I wish I did)

Yes, there is a manual zoom...and I may have cropped the photo afterward to make it even closer.

I wish I had a telephoto lens and macro lenses also.
