When I load photos into the computer I set the ones I intend upon adding into W.G into a folder.
Contest worthy, into yet another (broken down further into months) When things are slow or should I say...when I've the time to sit around submitting them I do so... Oh yes, there are many that never quite make it into the subject matter being discussed or the season it should be set into but they are still in the folder awaiting future use. As the next year, its matching season, bloom time or what have you approaches I then choose to either add them or set them into their proper folders according to their subject matter.

Today I saw a few more red-winged blackbirds staking claim to territory waiting for the lovely ladies to arrive. They 1st started showing up a week or so ago when it was snowing. The males that were camped out on top of cattails looked pretty silly until they shook their feathers and rid themselves of their winter snow coats. March was supposed to come in like a lion.... it's definitely done that so far but…. it’s the end of the month and there’s no signs of it going out like a lamb. I’ve still got snow on the ground and the robins that did start coming back…. are hopping around cocking their heads sideways listening for bugs…. there are no bugs... the ground is still too frozen. I broke down and bought a bunch of night crawlers and stuck em in on a platter for my robins. I didn't realize I had so many robins hanging around until I looked outside and saw 5 or 6 descending on the over turned garbage can lid. They had a feast.... I might do that again if it doesn't start warming up more over the weekend.
