Default My new lady

She is so pretty. Her name is Claire. She is a little young, but we think that she is ready for a family.

You may know that I do stuff with birds. A LOT of people do, especially where I have worked for 15 years. If there is something bird related and nobody knows what to do, I get a call, or visit.

I identified the band numbers of the first two peregrine falcons that set up shop in Lansing, Mi. Stelco paired with an unbanded male for two years and he was replaced by Alimak. They ended up in a nest box, provided by our local electric company. It's great P.R. I parted ways with the program when the birds were established there. Yesterday my building manager asked me to take a look at something. He took me up to the 21st floor of the tallest building in Lansing. I brought my camera in today to find out who my new girl was.

I haven't had time to do anything to these shots. A little digital editing would help a lot. I have about two dozen, but grabbed these quick. I'm about two days behind on everything, but wanted to share these with some of you who know me before I have to get in gear.

Great shots even without any retouching.

It looks like black *S over green *Y with purple over the USFW band. Is that right? She's from the northeast...
